The African Print

Lets talk about African Prints. African prints is also referred to as the clothing material used to make traditional African clothes. There are a lot of different types of prints used across the African continent but one thing I have noticed is that the prints are vibrant/beautiful colors. I am going to be doing more posts about different prints used by either different countries (aka states) in Africa and make some comparison too. Below I have attached a couple pictures for you to check out. For my African friends, please comment below what you call these prints in your country. In Kinyarwanda (Rwanda, where I am from), we call them ibitenge, in Swahili they are known as vitenge. Some prints are known to be used for only special occasions like weddings and I will go over those in details in my next posts, so stay tuned. Check out some of the pictures of authentic  African prints below and let me what you think. See you next time
